“Israeli” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office reaffirmed that reports of a ceasefire in Lebanon are inaccurate, stating that Netanyahu has not yet responded to the American-French proposal.

The office also issued an urgent statement indicating that Netanyahu ordered the military to continue operations on the northern front with full force.

It confirmed that the war in the Gaza Strip will continue until its defined objectives are achieved.

On Thursday, the US, France, and several European and Arab countries called for a 21-day ceasefire along the border between “Israel” and Lebanon, expressing their support for a ceasefire in Gaza, according to a joint statement released by the White House.

The statement noted that "the situation between Lebanon and “Israel” since October 8, 2023, has become untenable and poses a significant risk of broader regional escalation."

It added, "Therefore, we call for an immediate ceasefire for 21 days along the border between Lebanon and Israel to allow for diplomatic efforts toward a peaceful resolution."

The joint statement received backing from the US, France, the European Union (EU), Germany, Canada, Australia, Italy, Japan, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, urging both the “Israeli” and Lebanese governments to promptly agree to a temporary ceasefire.
